Mozambique:
Ravaged for 20 years by a civil war, Mozambique, as an unspoilt destination, is now one of the world's best kept secrets. When the war ended in 1994, we were there to explore this tropical paradise's potential for sea kayaking. Now, 10 years on, you can join us on one of our sea kayak adventures to the area, including a tour to Ibo in the Quirimbas Archipelago north of Pemba. If you wish to experience this wondrous place with its traditional dhows and swaying palms before it becomes totally exclusive, join us now!
Mozambique is a ribbon-like country on the east coast of Africa, with a wide coastal plain stretching along 2 500km of warm Indian Ocean: from Ponta do Ouro in the south to the scattered islands of the Quirimbas Archipelago in the north.
You can fly in to Vilanculos; the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago (a cluster of 4 tropical islands in southern Mozambique) or to Pemba; the gateway to the more remote Quirimbas Archipelago (which is made up of 27 islands).
Available February to November. Fly to Pemba and transfer to tropical Ibo Island in the Quirimbas Archipelago. Stay over in a renovated colonial home and explore the unspoilt tropical coast by foot and kayak.
